The Jewish Prayer Rooms are in both terminals.
Costa Bernstein and Viktor Naimark have created the Jewish seven-lamp menorah in the Jewish prayer room in Terminal 1, Hall C. Their presentation combines the traditional with the modern. The menorah consists of specially glazed ceramic elements connected with each other by metal rods. It was made of clay in order to combine the four elements: earth, water, air and fire. Recently, the mezuzah, a scripture case containing the central prayer of the Jewish faith, was affixed at the entrance to the prayer room.
One key element of the new Jewish prayer facility in FRA’s Terminal 1 is a stone in a glass cabinet. The word “Mizrach” (meaning “East”) is carved into the stone from Jerusalem. The stone indicates the direction of prayer. Above it is a verse from the Torah: “The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.“
