Pack the right way: what you may and may not take
If possible, take only one item of luggage per person and observe the applicable regulations. Rechargeable batteries, power banks, and e-cigarettes (vaping devices) may not be placed in checked luggage. Liquids may only be carried in containers holding no more 100 ml each (up to a total of no more than one liter) in your carry-on luggage - this applies for all security checkpoints (including CT scanners), please note the return to the known restrictions everywhere!
Check in early and prepare for your travels
To ensure that the travelling day is as relaxed as possible, we recommend to take advantage of online or evening-before check-in.
Please make sure to arrive at the terminal two hours prior to departure. If you would like to check in baggage and/or have booked an international long-haul flight, we recommend that you arrive at the terminal two and a half hours prior to departure (these recommendations are guidelines and without any guarantee). Please ask your airline about the check-in counter opening times. We advise against arriving at the airport too early, as otherwise you will have to endure unnecessary waiting times.

Make plans for traveling to the airport and any required reservations well in advance
The parking facilities around Terminals 1 and 2 are subject to heavy demand during the German school holidays. It’s therefore advisable to book spaces online well in advance. Alternatively, you can conveniently get to the airport using public transportation. Meeters and greeters can use the car parks at the terminals for a fee of only € 3.00 up to 30 minutes.
